Welcome to
Three Lab Studios
At 3 Lab Studios, working with clay is meant to be joyful, messy, and maybe even a little addictive.
Every piece is crafted with care, intention, and a deep love of the process—from small-batch, wheel-thrown mugs to one-of-a-kind statement pieces designed to blend beauty with everyday function.

Take a peek at the options, get a little muddy, and bring some handmade charm into your home.

Unleash Your Inner Potter
Wondering what it actually feels like to throw clay on the wheel? The one-night session gives you a crash course in turning a lump of clay into something that might just resemble a cup or a bowl. Once you’ve shaped your masterpiece, you’ll choose a glaze colour and I'll do the rest—glazing, firing, and making it shine. Your finished piece will be ready to pick up in about 2–3 weeks (good things take time… especially in a kiln).

Ready to build your pottery skills step-by-step? The Potter’s Wheel Foundations class offers a comprehensive 6-week session designed to give you plenty of hands-on time to master the wheel.

Want to get your hands dirty with your crew? Whether it’s coworkers, cousins, birthday pals, or your soon-to-be-in-laws, the private pottery party is the ultimate group hang. I can host up to 6 fabulous humans for a combination of wheel work and hand building. BYOB and snacks (optional).

Meet the Potter
Stephanie Near
I took my first evening pottery class on a whim at the age of 23—and I’ve been hooked ever since. Over the years, I’ve studied with master potters, taught students of all ages, and spent countless hours exploring the endless possibilities of clay. I love experimenting with techniques, shapes, and glazes, and I’m always chasing that perfect mix of form and function. For a long time, my wheel lived in the furnace room of my basement, so opening Three Lab Studios is truly a dream come true. It’s a space built for creativity, community, and getting a little muddy in the best possible way.

Your pottery will be ready for pickup about 2-3 weeks after your class. I'll notify you when your pieces are ready and arrange a pickup time. After being contacted, you have a 3 week window to pick up your pieces. After that, any unclaimed pieces go to a local charity to find a new home.
